Mustafa Andıç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of IMSIAD, made a statement upon our criticism about Güzelyalı plans.

First of all, he said that not only the Contractors but also the property owners, employees, tradesmen and suppliers were damaged due to the cancellation of the plans in the Güzelyalı region.

He stated that as IMSIAD, they could not have any other purpose than contributing to the solution of the problem. Reminding that the municipalities have started work to make plans, Andıç pointed out that this period is a long process, and that this period can increase the victimization even more.

He said that they were in favor of doing whatever was necessary about the wrongly made parcels and they supported it, but the cancellation of the plans as a whole hurt the innocent people here.

Explaining that the plans are canceled in a region where construction has reached 90 percent today and these plans should be made as soon as possible, Andıç underlined that there is never a demand for plans to open a new region for development.

While IMSIAD stated that they need to intervene in this issue in order to eliminate the victims in complete goodwill, he also said that they want to support this issue economically in order to prevent the victimization of people if necessary.

Emphasizing that there is no increase in precedent or any other rent demand, Andıç stated that they wanted to prevent the victimization by solving the problem in the area with the current structuring.

Güzelyalı plans will be made by Mudanya Municipality. There is information that the work continues. Then it will come to the Metropolitan Municipality Council. Since there are no plans, the construction has stopped. The problem must be resolved by making the plans as soon as possible with help of the public.
