ASSAM President of Board of Directors Adnan Tanr\u0131verdi said: “National interests cannot be protected with someone else’s weapon.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n ASSAM President of Board of Directors Adnan Tanr\u0131verdi said: “National interests cannot be protected with someone else’s weapon.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n ASSAM President of Board of Directors Adnan Tanr\u0131verdi said: “National interests cannot be protected with someone else’s weapon.”\u00a0\u00a0 The 3rd International ASSAM Islamic Union Congress, organized with the theme of “ASRICA Common Defense Industry Production” with the cooperation of Association of Justice Defenders Strategic Studies Center (ASSAM) and \u00dcsk\u00fcdar University, started today in Istanbul.<\/span><\/p>\n Speaking at the opening of the congress, Tanr\u0131verdi said that the congress aims to present a model to decision-makers by determining the institutions necessary for Islamic countries to gather under a common will and the environment they should be.<\/span><\/p>\n In the title of determining the procedures and principles of joint industrial production for the Islamic Union, Tanr\u0131verdi stated that the aim of the 3rd congress on the main theme of ASRICA common defense industry is to determine the procedures and principles of establishing a system that can be self-sufficient in the production of all defense industrial products needed by the Islamic geography and that will enable it to find and use technology above world standards.<\/span><\/p>\n Adnan Tanr\u0131verdi said:<\/span><\/p>\n “One of the leading conditions of independence and being a sovereign power is that the weapons they use are their own weapons. National interests cannot be protected with someone else’s weapon. States cannot guarantee security, peace and prosperity in their countries with someone else’s weapon. States which have someone else’s weapon cannot be regarded as sovereign. States cannot stand up against the countries which uses their weapons. In that case, for the Islamic world to gather under a will, it must produce the warfare weapons and ammunition it needs with the most advanced technology of the time. The Islamic world has this opportunity. What Islamic countries does not have is the organization.”<\/span><\/p>\n – “The formation of an Islamic union is not a threat to the world, it is a balance”<\/span><\/p>\n \u00dcsk\u00fcdar University Founding Rector Prof. Dr. Nevzat Tarhan also said that the word ASRICA should be pronounced more because Islamic world will need this union in future.<\/span><\/p>\n Stating that 1.8 billion people live in this geography, Tarhan said, “If these people can act in unity, they will have the greatest influence. Various non-governmental organizations and political will are important, but what will make this work permanent is what are the changes are done by people in their heart and how the mental transformation will be towards this union.”<\/span><\/p>\n Stating that if Muslims cannot create togetherness within themselves, social transformation cannot occur after this, Tarhan continued his words as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n “If there is no social transformation, there will be no political transformation. For a mental transformation to occur, there must be a transformation in the hearts. Justice and love should be exalted among Muslims, and the way to do this is about establishing communication. Muslims need hope the most. In the Western world, there is a tendency to seek truth. Therefore, they will find the truths of the Quran. It is important that we must represent it as good example.<\/span><\/p>\n The formation of an Islamic union is not a threat to the world, it is a balance. While the West was slaughtering each other in the Middle Ages, the reason for peace in the East was the spread of Muslim morality. This is necessary for the future and peace of humanity. Where there is no justice, there is no peace. ASSAM was also established for this purpose. The most important currency of this age is accuracy, and its biggest capital is trust.”<\/span><\/p>\n “Muslims have to carry out serious cooperation and joint work in the field of defense”<\/span><\/p>\n Referring to the importance of the unity of the Islamic world, Prof. Dr. Ali Erba\u015f, President of Religious Affairs, said, “The basic condition for the solution of all our problems from Kashmir to Jerusalem, from East Turkestan to Myanmar, from Yemen to Syria is to come together as Muslims. It is to put forward a common attitude, will and action plan. It is to create a power by meeting common feelings, ideas and ideals.
