Justice Defenders Strategic Studies Center ASSAM, which develops strategies for a “Fairer World,” will add a new one to its annual international academic studies this year on November 8–9, 2025.

ASSAM, a think tank that aims not to manage crises but to propose solutions that build sustainable peace by addressing their root causes, and that produces strategic solutions in thematic areas for the construction of a new, multipolar yet just global order; through the series of seven international congresses it held between 2017 and 2023, demonstrated via two distinct solution models that if the Islamic World achieves political unity, it could return to the world stage as a superpower.

While the entire world, which agrees that the current global order is not only failing to deliver justice but is also the root cause of crises, has yet to move from discussing the problem to generating solutions, ASSAM has, for over 10 years, shared the most comprehensive model roadmap for solutions with decision-makers and the public through its ongoing work.

In this context, ASSAM is conducting a study of the Islamic World across 9 geopolitical regions as part of its 4 year work plan covering 2024–2027. The “Seeking Solutions to Crises in Europe and Central Asia (Turkestan Region) Congress,” to be held on November 8–9, 2025, is, for the first time this year, evolving from a traditional congress format into an almost summit-level event.

The summit, which attracts the academic community and will be held at the Abdullah Tivnikli Conference Hall of Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University, will host academics, civil society representatives, and politicians from 14 countries. The event will feature 12 summit speeches, 8 keynote speakers, and 26 presentations delivered across 5 sessions.

At this year’s ASSAM summit, the Foundation of Islamic Scholars, the Union of NGOs of the Islamic World , Turkish Voluntary Organizations Foundation, the Association of Justice Defenders, and the Union of Afro-Asia Universities will participate as partners.
